Light painting
What is light painting?Light painting is generating images by using the camera and a small torch (can be a white light or a coloured) but you set the shutter speed to various speeds. Then once the flash has gone of you begin drawing in thin air and after the time is up it will have created a light drawing.

What I didI set the shutter speed to however long I wanted to draw my picture so from 3 seconds up to 30 seconds.
When your ready you press the flash and then begin drawing into thin air with a mini torch, so you can draw your name into the air or arrows, anything you want, even though you cant see the light as your drawing when the time is up you can see your photo and it will show up the light. We had to take the pictures against a black background and in pitch black for the best effect. What I dislike about light painting
|
What I did was I took the exposure down because my image was a little over exposed, I also took the contrast down because my image was dark and putting it down made it brighter and I also turnt the sharpness up.
Mine,Chloe&Ben's light paintings we done in class.

My evaluation
An image that worked wellI think this image worked well because each time the flash was pressed the image came out sharp and the position of ben each time the photo was taken worked well.

An image that didn't work so wellI think this image didn't work so well because only the light was in focus Bens body and face was blurry and you can see chloe in the background abit and the photo isn't sharp so thats why I think this particular image didn't work well.
